WW1 Diary writing.
10 January 1915.
Dear diary, the training is very intense. We have been doing some shooting with the guns so we could feel how it feels to shoot one. We had to do some aiming with the guns and with the grands to try to throw the grands in the trenches. The grands would smoke for a long time but good that we had lots of cover. We had to run pretty much like 50 laps around our territory because we had to be very fit and our territory was big. We had to do an opstcolecorse and it was one of the hardest things I have ever done in my life. You wouldn't want to know what we had to do. It took me 6 hours to finish it and I had the fastest time and the person who came last took 6 hours and a half so we were all really fit.
Yours sincerely Bob.

Dear diary, We have been doing more training and we have been missing families but luckily no one has fired their guns. This is not Bob it is his friend Bobby Bob broke his finger so it is still healing he jumped off the roof and landed on his finger.

Dear diary, We have been eating all of the anzac biscuits we have been starving for a long time. I have got a broken finger too but I didn't have to cut it off like Bob. i won't be writing for a long time because i am getting sent back home. We are tired and hurt and we don’t have many nurses to help us heal up or survive. I won’t be able to write for a long time, maybe in a week or so because the training will be harder and longer so we will have to catch some sleep.
Yours sincerely Bobby.

Dear diary, this is the last day of training and we are glad that we aren't training but now we don’t sleep. We are sweating super hard every day and breaking bones just by training. It is Bob l have learnt to write with my other hand. We are planning to start shooting because we are all very fit and we can shoot. I was finding it hard to shoot because my finger got cut off so I have been shooting the guns with my left hand. I really enjoy being left-handed. I am one of the only ones who are left handed. I still miss you guys back at home and please send some more anzac biscuits to last as some more days. One of our guys went out into the dark and saw their camp so there was no time to waste so we had to be spying on what they are doing and what they are planning.
Yours sincerely Bob.
