The deck is for your feet to put on because if you don't have a place to put your feet on you will fall.If you want to stop you have to step on the brake It's is on top of the back wheel so if you step on the brake it is on top of the back wheel , so if you step on it the wheel will stop because the break will be on it to stop the wheel.
